1 day trip to Kluang !

Assalamualaikum !

Weeeeeeeeeeee my last post was on April 2019! Such. a. long. time!

So yesterday my husband has work-related things to do in Kluang, and i dont know where the energy come from, I decided to follow on my off day. I guess it's the power of love 😋

We went to Kluang the night before, right after both of us back from work, and go back to KL the next evening. So what to do in just a short period of time? Oh btw, do u know Kluang's name derives from word 'bat' which means big bat or fruit bats? I just knew 🙈

So for this short trip, i made a not-so-vlogging bideo !

Click to play 😁

1. Accommodation.

We stayed at Merdeka Hotel Kluang, book in advance at booking.com. The rate is RM 100+ per night. This hotel look classic and oldschool from the outside, but no worries it is fine on the inside! I feel like in the (i did not remember the tittle) movie budapest hotel or something. This hotel has the oldest elevator in Kluang. So classic. ---- inside the vlog.

Our room was comfortable and spacious. It has basic ammenities like TV, aircond, private toilet, kettle, 2 bottles of mineral water, some 2/3 in 1 coffee and stuffs, shower and bath gel, towels and iron with iron board at the outside of the hotel.

Our luggages. Paksarela matchy matchy. huehuehue

So before we started our journey, prep prep dulu. These are the products that I used.

Our booking came with breakfast package but I guess during our stay there are not much of guests, so no buffet available, orders are ala cut. We had choices like sets of nasi lemak or nasi goreng or mee goreng and choices to add on other things (with extra ringgit), and they prepared 'em for us on the spot.

The good side is, our food will be like fresh sebab dapat panas-panas, but the downfall side is, not so much of choices like usual hotel buffet breakfast.

Set of savory and fruit

Nasi goreng + telur mata + fillet for muadz while the other plate is for me + toast which actually muadz's tapi cukai by me

Nevertheless, i love the hotel's lobby deco

2. First stop - Kluang Rail Coffee

This kopitiam is so famous, i think it was established before Merdeka. It is located at the train station (the coffee shop located just beside the terminal and railway track). And good thing about this kopitiam is, even how famous it is, the price is not hipster punya price, and within affordable range.

We got ourselves 2 cups of ice coffee, 1 set of 1/2 boiled cooked eggs, roti bun with butter and another set of coffee for takeaway with the price of rm 12+ sahaja.

Oh and lupa nak cakap, this kopitiam actually ada few more branches yg ada aircond, tapi sebagai tourist, lokasi ini menjadi pilihan hati.

Waktu kami sampai, penuh sangat kopitiam ni, we need to wait in line, and share meja dengan customer lain. We shared our table with an old local couple. They suggest us menu apa yg best etc.

And the worker here are so nice. I give them 5 stars.

I am so happy being inside a historical place. Because... i love history 😋

Kopi ais, kawwwww

Our seat got track view

2. 2nd stop - Kluang street art

I love how Malaysians utilized some of back of buildings as place of attractions, and apa yg lagi best ialah bila kawasan itu dijaga bersih dan selesa.

And it has pedestrian walk, and tiang lampu somemore

Excited ahjumma

Kena paksa posing

Cant believe i'm turning 28 this year.....

I dont know what's the hand gesture for

Since 1938! 😱

4. 3rd stop - Kluang Mall

After checked out our hotel and dropped Muadz at his work-appointment place, I got like 2-3 hrs alone. I decided to spend my time at Kluang Mall.

Thank you Waze.

So what me time I spend myself for?

I stocked up myself with pens! Mine always gone missing taktahu gi mana

Then strolling around here and there..... with some compulsive shoppings. Bahaya shopping sorang-sorang takde financial advisor. Lepastu lapar.

I spend like 1 hr in Coffe Beans having one of my favorite coffee and pasta here while watching 1 of my fav Kshow.

And top up myself with perfume 😝

Actually in the bideo macam more details, sebab i just realised i did not have much photos hahaha.

5. Bye bye Kluang 😿

After my husband finished his appointment, his friend dropped him at Kluang Mall and that's literally being the end of my compulsive shopping time, but i'm proud of myself, I actually bought necessary things okay, i even stopped myself from buying one set of cotton baju kurung..... which is so pretty.

Oh so pretty la baju kurung tu.......

Then we gear up ourselves for our journey back. Muadz is buying himself another cup of coffee, and as for myself, no more coffee of the day. Too much already.

On our way back, we stopped by offtheroad stalls buying some kerepeks and nenas.

Weh nenas ni letak dalam kereta bau wangi kereta weolllllls.

Kluang is such a calm town. Most of the people we met there are nice. There are actually few more suggested places or activities - but consuming much more time than we had on schedule. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with our activity throughout the day, simple and sweet, relaxing but maximized.

Anyway thank you Kluang! It had been such a great 1 day and i am not regret spend my only off day per week visiting you. Ada jodoh jumpa lagi!

Kluang 2020.

Thanks for reading! Happy new year, may we become wiser each day and become more of a good people than we are yesterday.
